Dr. Dagmar Schäfer established SCHAEFER INTERNATIONAL in June of 1994. She holds a Ph.D. in comparative Western European and Latin American studies (Düsseldorf 1991). Prior to her move to the United States, Dr. Schaefer was a PR and marketing consultant in Europe. Utilizing her fluency in five languages, she implemented cross-cultural and multinational PR programs for international clients such as Mercedes Benz and Bertelsmann. In Germany, she was a radio talk show moderator and active in Frankfurt city politics. Today she resides in San Anselmo California with her husband Dr. Eugen Gehrau and their daughter Anna Lisa, and is actively involved in the international programs of the San Francisco Rotary Club.
Stefanie Hanebutt directs the project management at SCHAEFER INTERNATIONAL. As the liaison between our network of consultants and international clients, she coordinates the marketing and operational efforts of our projects. Stefanie is in charge of the program development and speaker recruitment for our business partnering events. Prior to joining SCHAEFER INTERNATIONAL, Stefanie worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and Wilbur Ellis Company. She received her business degree in Giessen in 1989. As part of her involvement in the international community, Stefanie is actively involved in various international trade and high-tech organizations and was the International Chairperson (1996-1998) of the San Francisco Rotary Club.
